I currently work at the College of St. Scholastica, teaching first-year composition. In the past I've taught English as a Second Language and public speaking in Seoul, Korea. I have authored two novels and more than a dozen plays. I have even spent time as a historical researcher, where I had the opportunity to bring history to life for tourists by acting as a Civil War veteran and a Lake Superior lighthouse keeper.
I hold a Masters Degree in English, with an emphasis in publishing, from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, where I studied very closely under the director of graduate studies, an accomplished Medieval Literature historian. I also studied music as a related field. As an undergraduate I majored in English and minored in History.
